Duygu Çoban
Duygu Çoban, the founder, lecturer, and art director of Fads Art Academy, works with a broad global perspective and a deep connection to contemporary art. Leveraging her expertise in art and design education, she inspires students while guiding them to develop their technical and creative skills. In her atelier, students are provided with an environment where they can freely express themselves and create unique, impactful portfolios.
Thanks to her vision and experience in the arts, Duygu Çoban has collaborated with renowned universities worldwide and served as an art representative in major projects. These achievements have helped Fads Art Academy gain international recognition, establishing ongoing connections with prestigious institutions such as ISTITUTO EUROPEO DI DESIGN, ISTITUTO MARANGONI, POLIMODA, ROME UNIVERSITY OF FINE ARTS, and the UNIVERSITY OF ARTS LONDON.
Beyond her educational and mentorship roles, Duygu Çoban is also the founder of Fads Production Company. This initiative allows her to bring her designs to life and present them on the global stage. In this way, the artistic knowledge and skills nurtured at the academy extend their influence internationally, creating a broader impact for students and the art community alike.
What We Do In FADS
FADS (Fine Arts Development Society), our mission is to nurture and guide aspiring artists who aim to receive education from prestigious foreign universities. We share our expertise of 15 years in assisting students with the preparation of their artistic portfolios. We provide comprehensive mentorship services to ensure their success in the competitive world of art and design education. In our educational programs, which attract students from various cities in Turkey and different countries around the world, we offer personalized development by prioritizing students’ uniqueness. We prepare our students for success in their artistic endeavors and intellectual growth by striking a balance between practical skills and academic knowledge.
Artistic Portfolio Creation and Development
Exceptional portfolios that showcase strong technical abilities, creativity, and a unique artistic narrative form the foundation of success in international university applications. At FADS, we work diligently to assist our students in creating extraordinary portfolios that reflect their unique artistic identities. Experienced teachers and mentors aim to provide personalized guidance for each portfolio, aiming to showcase the student’s technical skills, creative vision, and growth as an artist or designer. Through a combination of practical projects, workshops, and critiques, the Academy offers students the opportunity to develop their technical skills, disciplined work ethic, and express their artistic narratives. We also support our students in their contemporary and creative work by incorporating techniques such as digital art, video, and 3D in our preparatory training program. Every year, we organize workshops with designers and mentors from different countries to inspire our students. We continue our work through various methods such as group work in studios, video lessons, and one-on-one classes.
Academic Guidance:
Our academy, consisting of renowned artists and educators, provides students with accurate and up-to-date academic guidance. In addition to developing students’ artistic talents, we provide support in helping them identify and familiarize themselves with universities that match their expectations. Furthermore, we offer guidance on career paths and opportunities by providing insights into the industry. We assist students in discovering their professional inclinations and help them make informed decisions about their future plans. FADS Academy has established connections with numerous schools over the years, communicating on behalf of the students and including their achievements in their portfolios. We maintain ongoing relationships with many schools.
Mentorship:
Mentorship plays a significant role in developing talents, supporting personal growth, and gaining industry insights. At FADS Academy, we believe in the power of one-on-one mentorship services to bring out artistic potential, foster creative production in design, and encourage experimental work. Our mentors assist students in expanding their artistic horizons, exploring new ideas, and developing their artistic identities through critiques and open discussions. Our mentors are experienced professionals in various artistic disciplines, providing valuable guidance, inspiration, and support to students. We offer mentorship services not only for portfolios that make a difference in academic applications but also for creating creatively aesthetic and original projects required in job applications, as well as proper organization and design of presentation and portfolio pages.
F.A.D.S counselors with an extensive global network guide students in identifying the most suitable international colleges and universities based on their goals, academic profiles, and artistic preferences. We assist in researching colleges, understanding their admission criteria, and evaluating scholarship opportunities.
